About Me

The beginning…

My name is Zsolt Magyar.
I grew up in Hungary then I moved to LA in 2000.
In Hungary, all films were dubbed before 2000, so I was surprised to find out when I was in film school at UCLA that movies have sync sound in the US.
I got so excited about this that I immediately decided to become a Sound Guy.

Yes. I worked in Budapest two times already /Midsommar-2018, MHT-2015/. Traveling for work is my favorite way of shooting.

Can I talk to any of your previous line producers to see if they would recommend you?

Sure, no problem. Please, email me about it and I will gladly give you the names and phone numbers.

Did you really work on “THE ROOM”?

Yes. I was the Sound Mixer on “THE ROOM”. Tommy choose me right away when I went to the interview. “THE ROOM” was my 2nd feature film back in 2002, so I didn’t know what to expect from Hollywood. Being on the set was crazy, ridiculous, intense, and funny at the same time.
I learned something though:
To treat every film as if it’s going to be the most famous film I have ever worked on.
